The first session of the Citizens’ Assembly of the City of Esch took place on Monday, March 16 at City Hall. It brought together the 40 selected participants, marking the official launch of this participatory initiative.

This introductory session allowed participants to get to know each other, discover how the Assembly works, and lay the foundations for future discussions. Supported by professional facilitators, they were able to engage in an initial dynamic of dialogue in a respectful and constructive environment.

Participants are now embarking on a process that will take place over several months, alternating between phases of information, exchange, and collective reflection. The goal: to develop concrete recommendations to contribute to the future of the city.

This first meeting confirmed the interest and commitment of citizens to this initiative, which places participation at the heart of local democratic life.
